Job Summary

We seek an experienced Sales Manager to lead our India sales team, drive revenue growth, and expand market share. The ideal candidate will develop strategic sales plans, mentor executives, and build strong client relationships across B2B/B2C segments in the Indian market.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  1. Sales Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute pan-India sales strategies to achieve revenue targets

Lead, train, and motivate a team of sales executives/regional managers

Implement CRM-driven sales processes for improved conversion

 

  1. Market Expansion

Identify new business opportunities across India (metros/tier 2-3 cities)

Establish distributor/channel partner networks

Conduct competitor analysis and adapt pricing strategies

 

  1. Key Account Management

Manage relationships with major clients and corporate accounts

Negotiate high-value contracts and service agreements

Ensure client retention through strategic account planning

 

  1. Performance Monitoring

Set and track KPIs for sales team (conversion rates, revenue/region)

Analyze sales data to identify trends and improvement areas

Prepare monthly/quarterly sales reports for leadership

 

  1. Cross-functional Collaboration

Work with marketing for lead generation campaigns

Coordinate with operations for seamless order fulfillment

Liaise with finance on pricing, credit terms, and collections

 

 

Requirements

 

Education & Experience

MBA in Sales/Marketing or equivalent

8+ years sales experience with 3+ years in managerial role

Proven track record in Indian market (industry-specific experience preferred)

 

Core Competencies

Strong understanding of India’s diverse regional markets

Expertise in channel sales, distributor management, and key account handling

Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Excel

Excellent negotiation and team leadership skills

 

Preferred

Industry specialization (e.g., FMCG, Pharma, IT, Manufacturing)

Multilingual capabilities (Hindi + Regional Language + English)

 

 

Work Environment

Travel Requirement: 50-60% (across India)

Team Size: 10-15 sales professionals (regional structure)
